The Animal Shelter: Your Local Resource for Animal Care

Animal Law Violations and Rabies Control

The Animal Shelter responds to reports of animal law violations, including neglect, abuse, and abandonment. If you witness or suspect an animal is being harmed, please contact the shelter immediately. Our team is also responsible for rabies control, providing vaccinations and other preventive measures to keep our community safe from this deadly disease.

Lost and Found Pets

If you have lost or found a pet, the Animal Shelter can help. We accept and house lost and found animals, providing temporary shelter and care until they can be reunited with their owners. If you have lost a pet, please contact the shelter to file a report. If you have found a stray animal, please bring it to the shelter so we can scan it for a microchip and attempt to locate its owner.

Owner Surrenders

The Animal Shelter understands that sometimes owners may need to surrender their pets. We accept owner surrenders by appointment only. Please contact the shelter to schedule an appointment and discuss the process. Our goal is to provide a safe and humane transition for both the pet and the owner.
