Archaeologists have discovered a statue of the Greek god Dionysus at a Roman settlement in modern-day Vienna.

The statue, which is believed to date back to the 3rd or 4th century AD, was discovered in a Roman building that is thought to have been used as a shrine or temple.

The statue is made of marble and depicts Dionysus, the god of wine and revelry, holding a drinking cup and a bunch of grapes. It is in excellent condition and is said to be the most important archaeological find to be discovered at the site.

The discovery of the statue is expected to provide valuable insights into the lives of the people who lived in the Roman settlement. The statue will now be placed on display at Vienna's Naturhistorisches Museum.
