Carnival Cruise Passenger Goes Missing

Surveillance Video Released

Coast Guard Rescues Man Overboard

A Carnival Cruise Line passenger went missing Monday night, and the cruise line has released surveillance video of the passenger. The missing passenger is 32-year-old Heath Barnes. Barnes was last seen on the Carnival Jubilee, which was on a seven-day cruise from Galveston, Texas. He was reported missing by his roommate at around 11:30 p.m. Monday night. The Carnival Jubilee was on its way to Cozumel, Mexico, when Barnes went missing. The ship turned around and searched for Barnes, but he was not found. The U.S. Coast Guard was called in to assist in the search for Barnes. The Coast Guard searched for Barnes for several hours, but he was not found. On Tuesday, Carnival Cruise Line released surveillance video of Barnes. The video shows Barnes walking around the ship's deck at around 11:30 p.m. Monday night. The video also shows Barnes going overboard the ship. The Coast Guard suspended its search for Barnes on Tuesday afternoon. The search was suspended due to the lack of any sign of Barnes. Carnival Cruise Line is offering a $25,000 reward for information leading to the whereabouts of Barnes. Barnes' disappearance is the second high-profile case of a passenger going missing from a Carnival Cruise Line ship in recent years. In 2019, 22-year-old Patrick Meehan went missing from the Carnival Magic. Meehan's body was never found.
