PORT CANAVERAL – The world's largest cruise ship sets sail within a few driving hours of the Tampa Bay area and is the top-ranked ship sailing from Tampa, according to a recent analysis of reviews and health ratings.

Norwegian Jewel, operated by Norwegian Cruise Line, is one of 150 cruise ships that we found sailing from Tampa in 2023. To compile the list, we started with the cruise ships set to sail from Tampa this year, then used reviews and health inspection scores from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to rank them.

Norwegian Jewel received a 4.2 out of 5 rating from Cruise Critic, a website that collects cruise reviews. The ship also received a perfect health inspection score from the CDC in its most recent inspection.
