Authorities have identified a 71-year-old Mount Cotton man killed in a tragic collision on Nerang Murwillumbah Road in Advancetown. Initial investigations suggest the man was operating a motorcycle when he collided with a truck traveling in the opposite direction.

The impact of the crash pinned the elderly motorcyclist under his bike for approximately 30 minutes before emergency services could extricate him. Despite being airlifted to a nearby hospital, the man succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
