Motorcyclist from Merritt Island Killed in I-95 Crash

A motorcyclist from Merritt Island has died as a result of a series of crashes involving five vehicles on Interstate 95 in the Mims area Saturday night. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the incident occurred at approximately 9:45 p.m., when the motorcyclist collided with a Ford Focus. The impact of the collision sent the motorcyclist into the path of three other vehicles, including a semi-truck. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
