Motorcycle Rider Killed in Volusia County Crash

FHP Investigating Fatal Collision

The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) is investigating a crash in Volusia County that left a motorcycle rider dead on Thursday afternoon.

According to FHP Lt. Indiana Miranda, the crash occurred on State Road 44 near Deltona at approximately 2:24 p.m. EST.

The crash involved a 2020 BMW and a motorcycle. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the BMW was not injured.

The FHP is still investigating the cause of the crash.
