Women Find Sisterhood on Two Wheels at Sturgis Motorcycle Rally

Sturgis Motorcycle Rally Welcomes Women Riders

Women's Day at the Chip Celebrates Women in Motorcycling

Sturgis, SD – Women are finding friendship, freedom, and fun on two wheels at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. The Sturgis Buffalo Chip is hosting Women's Day at the Chip, a day-long celebration of women in motorcycling. Women have been a part of the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally since its inception in 1938. This year, women motorcyclists will be gathering in Sturgis for the Biker Belles Women's Ride, which will take place on August 11th.

Women's Day at the Chip will feature a variety of activities, including a women-only motorcycle ride, a bike show, a vendor fair, and live music. The event is designed to celebrate women in motorcycling and to provide a safe and welcoming space for women to ride and socialize. “We want to create a space where women can feel comfortable riding and being themselves,” said Rod Woodruff, owner of the Sturgis Buffalo Chip. “Women's Day at the Chip is a way for us to show our support for women in motorcycling and to celebrate their contributions to the sport.”

The Biker Belles Women's Ride is a non-competitive, women-only motorcycle ride that will take place on August 11th. The ride will begin and end at the Sturgis Buffalo Chip and will cover approximately 100 miles. The ride is open to women of all ages and experience levels. “The Biker Belles Women's Ride is a great way for women to experience the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in a safe and supportive environment,” said Sue Carpenter, founder of Biker Belles. “We welcome women of all ages and experience levels to join us for this fun and empowering event.”

Women's Day at the Chip and the Biker Belles Women's Ride are just two of the many ways that women are getting involved in the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. Women are playing an increasingly important role in the sport of motorcycling, and their presence at Sturgis is a testament to their passion for riding and their love of the motorcycle lifestyle.
