In this MO-SPO Festival, one category in particular is grabbing people's attention.  This is a review of one of many exercises of Japanese motorcycle police. 

Growing up, Andrew Komurka was a self-professed motorcycle nut.  He loved everything about them, from the way they looked to the way they sounded.  When he was old enough, he finally got his own motorcycle, a 1985 Kawasaki GPZ900R.  He named it “Top Gun” after the Tom Cruise movie that had come out that same year.

Komurka rode Top Gun all through his teenage years and into his early twenties.  He loved the bike, but he eventually sold it to buy a car.  Years later, he regretted selling Top Gun, and he started looking for another one.  He finally found one in 2010, and he's been riding it ever since.

The GPZ900R was a revolutionary motorcycle when it was first introduced.  It was one of the first bikes to have a liquid-cooled engine, and it was also one of the first bikes to have a 16-valve head.  The GPZ900R was also very fast, and it quickly became a favorite among sportbike riders.
