WOAH Launches New Animal Health Information System
ADIS Provides Real-Time Data on Animal Diseases
World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH) has launched a new Animal Diseases Information System (ADIS) to improve the detection and response to animal disease outbreaks. ADIS is a web-based platform that collects and shares real-time data on animal disease outbreaks from around the world.
The system is designed to help veterinary authorities quickly identify and respond to emerging animal diseases, and to prevent the spread of diseases across borders. ADIS will also provide valuable data for research into animal diseases and for developing new control measures.
WOAH Director General Monique Eloit said, “ADIS is a major step forward in our efforts to improve global animal health. This system will provide veterinary authorities with the information they need to make informed decisions about how to prevent and control animal diseases.”
ADIS is available to veterinary authorities in all countries. The system is free to use, and it is available in multiple languages.
