The ship, which has been operational since 14th March, has been providing temporary accommodation for around 1,000 refugees. However, the Scottish government has now said that it is working to find more permanent housing for the refugees, and that they will be moved off the ship in the coming weeks.
A spokesperson for the Scottish government said: “We are working closely with our partners to ensure that all Ukrainian refugees who arrive in Scotland have access to safe and suitable accommodation. We are committed to providing them with the support they need to rebuild their lives in Scotland.”
