Hurricane Beryl Alters Cruise Ship Itineraries

Caribbean Cruises Rerouted as Hurricane Approaches

Royal Caribbean, Norwegian Cruise Line, and Other Operators Adjust Sailings

With Hurricane Beryl intensifying into a Category 4 storm and becoming the earliest Category 4 in the Atlantic Ocean and the only Category 4 in June, cruise lines have begun rerouting their ships away from the hurricane's path.

Royal Caribbean has three ships in the Southeast Caribbean where Hurricane Beryl is expected to pass: Icon of the Seas, Wonder of the Seas, and Harmony of the Seas. Icon of the Seas has been rerouted to avoid the hurricane, while the other two ships are expected to continue on with altered itineraries.

Norwegian Cruise Line has also altered its itineraries, with its Norwegian Breakaway sailing from Bermuda receiving the most significant changes. The ship will now sail to St. Thomas instead of Puerto Rico and St. Maarten.

Other cruise lines, including Carnival Cruise Line and Disney Cruise Line, are also monitoring Hurricane Beryl and may adjust their itineraries as needed. Passengers should check with their cruise line for updates on their sailing.
