PayPal's New Bitcoin Buying Service
Three Options Still Exist for Buying Bitcoin
PayPal Supports Transferring Crypto to Other PayPal Users and External Wallets
PayPal has once again made it possible to buy bitcoin with a PayPal account. The company has partnered with Paxos Trust Company to offer the service, which allows users to buy, sell, and hold bitcoin within their PayPal wallets.
There are three options for buying bitcoin with PayPal:
- Using the PayPal app: Users can buy bitcoin directly from the PayPal app. To do this, tap the “Crypto” tab, then tap “Buy.” Enter the amount of bitcoin you want to buy, and then tap “Buy now.”
- Using the PayPal website: Users can also buy bitcoin from the PayPal website. To do this, go to the “Crypto” page, then click on “Buy.” Enter the amount of bitcoin you want to buy, and then click on “Buy now.”
- Using a third-party service: There are a number of third-party services that allow users to buy bitcoin with PayPal. These services typically charge a fee, so it's important to compare fees before using one.
Once you've purchased bitcoin, you can store it in your PayPal wallet. PayPal offers a number of security features to keep your bitcoin safe, including two-factor authentication and encryption.
PayPal also supports transferring crypto to other PayPal users and external wallets. However, fees are higher than those of most crypto exchanges.
