Deadly Colorado Crash Closes Major Intersection

Colorado Springs, CO – September 27, 2022

A fatal vehicle accident occurred around 9:20 p.m. on September 26, 2022, at a major intersection in Colorado Springs, closing several lanes of traffic.

According to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD), a motorcyclist was killed after being struck by a vehicle on Austin Bluffs Parkway in front of the University of Colorado – Colorado Springs.

All lanes of Austin Bluffs were closed in both directions following the crash, causing significant delays for motorists. The intersection remained closed for several hours while police investigated the accident and cleared the scene.

The identity of the motorcyclist has not yet been released, and the cause of the crash remains under investigation by the CSPD.
