PREDICT Program
Largest Nutritional Research Program of Its Kind

The PREDICT program is the largest in-depth nutritional research program of its kind in the world. The Personalized Responses to Dietary Composition Trial-1 (PREDICT-1) was the first in a series of large clinical trials investigating the impact of dietary composition on human health. PREDICT-1 enrolled over 1,000 healthy adults who were randomly assigned to one of three different diets for a period of two years. The results of PREDICT-1 have provided important new insights into the relationship between diet and chronic diseases such as heart disease and cancer.
Since 2006, the JRC study Prospective Insights in ICT RD (PREDICT) has been analyzing the supply of Information and Communications Technologies (ICT). The PREDICT 3 study will build on previous research in over 2,000 individuals (PREDICT 1 and 2) to further refine machine learning models that can predict the impact of ICT on economic growth and social development.
The presence of organ failure(s) in patients with acute decompensation of cirrhosis defines acute-on-chronic liver failure (ACLF). The PREDICT study is a European multicenter prospective study that aims to identify the risk factors for ACLF and to develop a prognostic score for this condition.
