Dengue Vaccine Shows Promise in Reducing Disease Cases

Meta-Analysis Confirms Efficacy of TAK-003

Vaccine Efficacy and Safety Data Reviewed

A new study has found that the dengue vaccine TAK-003 has an efficacy rate of over 50% in reducing disease cases with lasting effects, according to a meta-analysis published in the journal The Lancet Infectious Diseases.

The meta-analysis, which used data from 11 clinical trials involving over 20,000 participants, found that TAK-003 was effective in preventing dengue fever, hospitalization, and severe disease in both children and adults.

The vaccine was also found to be safe, with no serious safety concerns reported in the clinical trials.

These findings provide further evidence of the potential of TAK-003 to help prevent dengue fever, a mosquito-borne disease that can cause severe illness and death.
