Health ministry confirms Dengue fever deaths

The Ministry of Health has confirmed another dengue-related death, bringing the toll to four for the year. The ministry also confirmed 450 laboratory-confirmed cases of the mosquito-borne virus.

Symptoms of Dengue fever:

Dengue fever is a mosquito-borne viral infection that can cause a wide range of symptoms, including:

• Fever
• Headache
• Muscle and joint pain
• Nausea and vomiting
• Rash
• Bleeding

In severe cases, dengue fever can be fatal.

There is no specific treatment for dengue fever, but the symptoms can be managed. Prevention is the best way to protect yourself from the virus. Here are some tips to prevent dengue fever:

• Use mosquito repellent
• Wear long sleeves and pants
• Clear standing water around your home
• Use mosquito nets
• Get vaccinated against dengue fever
