Arsenal returned to winning ways in pre-season in emphatic style with the help of three goals in the first 38 minutes of a 4-0 victory over Bayer Leverkusen.

KAI HAVERTZ put Leverkusen ahead after just nine minutes of play. However, Eddie Nketiah restored parity just seven minutes later and Arsenal were ahead thanks to Gabriel Jesus's 27th-minute penalty before Granit Xhaka made it 3-1. Gabriel Martinelli wrapped up the scoring 11 minutes after Xhaka's goal.
