Polk County Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller Stacy M. Butterfield CPA. has been appointed to the 10th Judicial Circuit Assessment Committee.

About the Committee

The 10th Judicial Circuit Assessment Committee is responsible for evaluating the performance of judges within the circuit. The committee makes recommendations to the Florida Supreme Court on whether judges should be retained, disciplined, or removed from office.

Butterfield is one of nine members of the committee. She is the only clerk of court on the committee.

Butterfield's Qualifications

Butterfield has over 20 years of experience in the legal field. She has served as Polk County Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller since 2017.

Prior to her election as Clerk, Butterfield served as the Director of the Office of the State Courts Administrator for the Florida Supreme Court. She also served as the Executive Director of the Florida Clerks & Comptrollers Association.

Butterfield is a member of the Florida Bar and the American Bar Association. She is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
