UC Davis Softball Falls to LMU in Tight Battle
Aggies Drop to 1-1-0, Lions Improve to 2-0-0
UC Davis softball fell to Loyola Marymount University (LMU) in a back-and-forth battle on Sunday, February 12th. The Aggies held a 2-1 lead after three innings, but the Lions scored two runs in the fourth to take the lead for good.

The Aggies took an early lead in the top of the third inning when sophomore left fielder Lauren Mangene singled home junior center fielder Kenna Flores. Senior shortstop Marissa Jauregui followed with an RBI single to make it 2-0.
LMU cut the lead to 2-1 in the bottom of the third when junior designated player Breeanna Garcia singled home sophomore infielder Emily Sokolek.
The Lions took the lead for good in the fourth inning when sophomore catcher Reese Bodas hit a two-run home run to make it 3-2.
The Aggies had a chance to tie the game in the top of the seventh inning, but left fielder Damari Morales grounded out to end the game.
