Indiana Fever Drop Close Game to Connecticut Sun, Remain 7th
Sun Win 3rd Straight
The Indiana Fever fell to the Connecticut Sun, 84-80, on Tuesday night at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
The Fever are now 14-16 overall and 8-8 in the Eastern Conference, while the Sun improve to 22-7 and 12-5 in the East.
Fever Remain Seventh
Despite the loss, the Fever remain in seventh place in the Eastern Conference standings, one game ahead of the eighth-place Washington Mystics.
The Fever will have a chance to improve their playoff positioning when they host the Atlanta Dream on Thursday night.
Sun Dominate Early
The Sun jumped out to a 20-point lead in the first half and led by 15 at halftime.
The Fever rallied in the third quarter, cutting the deficit to five points, but the Sun held on in the fourth quarter to secure the victory.
Alyssa Thomas Shines
Alyssa Thomas led the way for the Sun with 24 points, 14 rebounds, and 9 assists, just missing out on a triple-double.
DeWanna Bonner added 20 points, and Jonquel Jones had 18 points and 12 rebounds.
Fever Get Scoring from Many
The Fever were led by Victoria Vivians' 18 points.
Emily Engstler added 16 points, Aaliyah Boston had 14 points, and Destanni Henderson had 10 points.

The Fever will look to bounce back when they host the Atlanta Dream on Thursday night at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
