Great Britain & Ireland Triumph Over United States Charge to Claim 2024 Curtis Cup Victory
Subtle Superiority Secures Success
Great Britain & Ireland (GB&I) emerged victoriously in the 2024 Curtis Cup, prevailing over a spirited late rally from the United States (US) team at Merion Golf Club in Ardmore, Pennsylvania. With a slender 10½-9½ margin, GB&I clinched their second Curtis Cup triumph in the past three editions.
Decisive Day Two Dominance
After sharing the spoils in the morning foursomes, GB&I seized control on day two by claiming three of the four available points in the four-ball matches. Latanna Stone, Annabell Fuller, and Emily Toy provided crucial wins to establish a commanding 6½-3½ lead heading into the final day's singles encounters.
In the singles matches, GB&I maintained their composure despite a valiant US charge. Rose Zhang, Megha Ganne, and Rachel Kuehn secured three wins for the US team, but it proved insufficient to overcome the earlier deficit. Annabel Dimmock's 1-up victory over Alexandra Forsterling clinched the Curtis Cup for GB&I.
