November 29, 2023 — YOKOSUKA, Japan – The U.S. Navy aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76) experienced minor flooding in a void space due to a burst pipe in a berthing compartment, according to a statement from the U.S. 7th Fleet.
The flooding was contained to the berthing compartment, and there were no injuries to personnel.
“The flooding was quickly contained, and the crew is working to clean up and repair the damage,” said Cmdr. David Pollard, Ronald Reagan’s chief engineer.
USS Ronald Reagan is currently in Yokosuka for a scheduled port visit.
