Eagles DC Vic Fangio hints at Quinyon Mitchell playing every snap vs. Packers in Week 1

Philadelphia Eagles defensive coordinator Vic Fangio praised Quinyon Mitchell's performance and hinted that he could play every snap in the season opener against the Green Bay Packers.

Quinyon Mitchell, an undrafted free agent cornerback, has impressed the Philadelphia Eagles coaching staff throughout training camp and the preseason. Defensive coordinator Vic Fangio spoke highly of Mitchell's performance and hinted that he could play every snap in the season opener against the Green Bay Packers.

“Quinyon has been a pleasant surprise for us,” Fangio said. “He's a smart, instinctive player who has a good feel for the game. He's also a willing tackler and has shown a knack for making big plays.”

Mitchell has played well in both the slot and on the outside, and Fangio said he is comfortable with Mitchell playing anywhere in the secondary.

“He's a versatile player who can play multiple positions,” Fangio said. “That's a valuable asset for us, especially with the injuries we've had in the secondary.”

Mitchell is expected to start opposite Darius Slay in the season opener, and Fangio said he is confident that Mitchell is ready for the challenge.

“He's earned the opportunity to start,” Fangio said. “I'm excited to see what he can do in the regular season.”

If Mitchell does play every snap against the Packers, it would be a sign of just how much the Eagles coaching staff believes in him. It would also be a testament to Mitchell's hard work and dedication.
