Oakland weekend festivities to be ’Rooted in Pride’

Oakland’s LGBTQ+ community prepares for weekend of Pride events

Oakland, CA – The city of Oakland is preparing for a weekend of Pride events, rooted in the community's rich history and vibrant culture, designed to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community and its allies. The festivities, which will take place from June 24-26, will include a parade, festival, and other events throughout the city.

The Oakland Pride Parade will kick off the weekend on Saturday, June 24, at 11:00 am. The parade will feature floats, bands, and community groups from all over the Bay Area. The parade route will begin at 14th and Broadway and will end at 20th and Telegraph.

The Oakland Pride Festival will be held on Sunday, June 25, from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm at the historic Mosswood Park. The festival will feature live music, food, vendors, and a family-friendly area. Admission to the festival is free.
