Chris Sutton drops Crystal Palace vs Man Utd scoreline prediction as one 'lively' player tipped to make big impact
Sutton predicts Man Utd to edge past Crystal Palace
Former Blackburn Rovers striker Chris Sutton has predicted that Manchester United will edge past Crystal Palace when the two sides meet at Selhurst Park on Sunday.
Sutton, who now works as a pundit for BBC Sport, believes that United's superior quality will be the difference between the two teams.
“I think United will just edge this one,” Sutton said. “They've got more quality in their team and I can see them winning 2-1.”
Zaha could be key
Sutton also believes that Wilfried Zaha could be key for Crystal Palace.
“Zaha is a lively player and he could cause United problems,” Sutton said. “He's got pace and skill and he's always a threat in front of goal.”
“If Palace are going to get anything from this game, they'll need Zaha to play well.”
What the managers have said
Crystal Palace manager Patrick Vieira is looking for his team to bounce back from their defeat to Arsenal last weekend.
“We need to show a reaction to last week's performance,” Vieira said. “We need to be more aggressive and more clinical in front of goal.”
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag is expecting a tough game against Crystal Palace.
“Crystal Palace are a good team with a good manager,” ten Hag said. “They're well-organized and they're always difficult to beat at home.”
“We'll need to be at our best to get a result.”
