Early Life and Playing Career
Luis Enrique Martínez García, born on May 8, 1970, is a Spanish football manager and former professional player. He is the current manager of the Spain national team. Enrique had a successful playing career, spending most of it with Real Madrid and Barcelona, where he won multiple titles, including two La Liga championships, two Copa del Rey trophies, and one UEFA Super Cup.
On the international stage, Enrique represented Spain and played in three World Cups and two European Championships.
Transition to Coaching
After retiring as a player in 2004, Enrique began his coaching career by managing Barcelona B, the reserve team of Barcelona. In 2011, he was promoted to manager of the first team. During his three seasons at the helm, Barcelona won two La Liga titles, two Copa del Rey trophies, and the UEFA Champions League in 2015.
After leaving Barcelona, Enrique managed Roma and the Spain national team.
