Damion Lee Grateful, Confident After Return From Injuries

Phoenix Suns' guard Damion Lee is grateful to be back on the court after missing 17 games due to a fractured finger and a sprained ankle.

Lee suffered the finger injury in a game against the Los Angeles Lakers on December 17th and missed the next 12 games. He then returned to action on January 6th against the Memphis Grizzlies but re-injured his finger in that game. Lee missed the next five games before finally returning to the lineup for good on January 17th against the San Antonio Spurs.

Lee has been a key contributor for the Suns this season, averaging 12.5 points and 4.5 rebounds per game.

He is also shooting 46.5% from the field and 40.3% from three-point range. Lee's return gives the Suns a much-needed boost, as they are currently fighting for a playoff spot in the Western Conference.

“It felt good to be back out there with my teammates,” Lee said after his return. “I'm just grateful to be healthy and able to contribute to the team.”

Lee said he is confident that he can return to the form he was in before his injuries.

“I'm feeling good,” Lee said. “I'm getting my rhythm back and I'm starting to feel like myself again. I'm confident that I can help this team win games.”

The Suns are currently 27-25 on the season, which is good for seventh place in the Western Conference. They are just 1.5 games out of fourth place, which would give them home-court advantage in the first round of the playoffs.
