SB I-25 reopens after closure for follow-up investigation related to Friday shooting

Traffic resumed on Saturday afternoon

San Bernardino County Sheriff's officials said SB I-25 between 7th Street and Mountain View Avenue reopened at 3:04 p.m. Saturday afternoon.

Traffic was diverted for hours while police investigated

SB I-25 was closed for approximately eight hours as officers investigated a shooting that occurred shortly after 7 a.m. Friday morning. Sheriff's officials said a male shooting victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. No arrests have been made in the shooting.

Traffic was backed up for miles due to the full closure of SB I-25. Traffic was diverted onto 7th Street and Mountain View Avenue until the investigation was completed.
