Tigers win 74-57 in final tune-up before season opener

Auburn basketball defeated Furman 74-57 in its final preseason exhibition game on Wednesday night at Neville Arena.

With the win, the Tigers improve to 2-0 in the preseason while Furman falls to 0-2.

Auburn was led by a balanced scoring attack as four players reached double figures.

Wendell Green Jr. led the way with 15 points, while K.D. Johnson added 14 points and six rebounds.

Johni Broome scored 12 points, grabbed eight rebounds and blocked four shots.

Allen Flanigan scored 10 points in his return to action after missing most of last season with a torn Achilles.

Auburn shot 44.4 percent from the field and made 10 3-pointers.

Furman was led by Mike Bothwell's 15 points.

The Tigers will open the regular season on Monday night at home against George Mason.
