The St. Petersburg State Unitary Enterprise “Mostotrest” reported that due to weather conditions, navigation on the Neva River will be closed on November 5. Therefore, bridges will not be raised.

Bridges do not open in winter

According to meteorological forecasts, on November 5, snowfall and gusts of wind up to 15 m / s are expected in the city. In such weather, lifting bridges is dangerous.

The navigation period in St. Petersburg usually ends in late November – early December, when the thickness of the ice cover on the Neva River reaches 25 cm.
