Fulham and Brentford Promoted to Premier League

Fulham and Brentford secured promotion to the Premier League following dramatic final day wins in the Championship

Fulham secured automatic promotion as they beat Preston North End 3-0 at Craven Cottage courtesy of goals from Fabio Carvalho, Harry Wilson and Aleksandar Mitrovic, while Brentford beat Barnsley to seal a play-off spot.

Fulham's Return to the Premier League

Fulham's promotion marks their immediate return to the Premier League after they were relegated last season. They finished the Championship season in 2nd place with 90 points, just one behind league winners Norwich City.

Fulham manager Marco Silva will be delighted with his team's achievement, having guided them to promotion in his first season in charge.

Brentford's Play-Off Success

Brentford's promotion to the Premier League was secured via the play-offs. They finished the Championship season in 3rd place with 87 points, before beating Swansea City in the semi-finals and then overcoming Swansea City in the final.

Brentford's promotion is their first to the Premier League in their history. They will be hoping to make a big impact in the top flight next season under the management of Thomas Frank.
