The French Skipper has faced criticism after France's poor start to this year's Six Nations

Dupont will lead Les Bleus out against Scotland in Paris on Sunday

Antoine Dupont will captain France in his first Test match in over 12 months when Les Bleus take on Scotland in Paris on Sunday.

The scrum-half has been out of action since suffering a knee injury in last year's Six Nations, but he has now recovered and is ready to lead his country once again.

Dupont's return is a major boost for France, who have had a disappointing start to this year's Six Nations, losing their opening two matches against Ireland and Italy.

The 26-year-old, who was named World Rugby's Player of the Year in 2021, will be looking to inspire his team to a much-needed victory against Scotland.

“It's a great honor to be captain of France again,” said Dupont. “I'm very excited to lead the team out on Sunday and I'm confident that we can get a win.”

France coach Fabien GalthiƩ is also delighted to have Dupont back in the side.

“Antoine is a world-class player and he's a natural leader,” said GalthiĆ©. “He's a guy that everyone looks up to and he's the perfect man to captain this team.”

Scotland will be looking to spoil Dupont's return by claiming a victory in Paris. The Scots have had a mixed start to the Six Nations , beating England in their opening match but then losing to Wales.

This weekend's clash between France and Scotland is sure to be a close and exciting contest. Dupont will be looking to lead his team to victory, while Scotland will be looking to claim a big scalp in Paris.
