Mohammad Nabi set to retire from ODIs after Champions Trophy
Afghanistan all-rounder Mohammad Nabi has announced his retirement from One-Day Internationals (ODIs) after the upcoming Champions Trophy in England.
Nabi made the announcement on his social media accounts, saying that he had decided to step down from the format to focus on Twenty20 cricket.
The 37-year-old has been a key player for Afghanistan in ODIs, having played 126 matches and scoring over 2,500 runs and taking 135 wickets.
He has also captained Afghanistan in 58 ODIs, leading them to a number of famous victories, including against top teams like India and Australia.
Nabi's retirement from ODIs will be a big loss for Afghanistan, but he will continue to play Twenty20 cricket, where he is one of the most experienced and successful players in the world.
He will be hoping to lead Afghanistan to success at the Champions Trophy, which will be held in England from 1 June to 18 June.
