Israeli forward Deni Avdija scored nine points Tuesday night, but his Portland Trail Blazers lost 113-106 at home to the Minnesota Timberwolves

Avdija started the game on the bench and played 19 minutes. He hit 4-of-7 shots from the field, including 1-of-3 from the three-point line. He also had two rebounds and four assists

The Trail Blazers fell to 24-35 with the loss, while the Timberwolves improved to 27-32.

Karl-Anthony Towns led the way for the Timberwolves with 28 points and 12 rebounds, while Anthony Edwards added 21 points.

Damian Lillard led the Trail Blazers with 24 points, while Anfernee Simons added 21 points.

The Trail Blazers will host the New Orleans Pelicans on Thursday night.
