New Law Will Improve Social Protections for Children
Kamenske Mayor Belousov Praises New Legislation
The new law will provide additional support for children in need.
Kamenske Mayor Andriy Belousov has hailed the new law on social protection for children as a significant step forward. The law, which was passed by the Verkhovna Rada on July 14, 2023, will provide additional support for children in need, including those from low-income families, those with disabilities, and those who have been orphaned or abandoned.
“This new law is a major victory for the children of Ukraine,” said Mayor Belousov. “It will provide much-needed support for those who are most vulnerable and help to ensure that they have a fair chance to succeed in life.”
The new law includes a number of provisions to improve social protection for children, including:
Increased funding for social assistance programs Expanded eligibility for social assistance programs New programs to support children with disabilities New programs to support children who have been orphaned or abandoned
The law also includes a number of measures to prevent child abuse and neglect, including:
Increased penalties for child abuse and neglect New programs to support families at risk of child abuse and neglect New training programs for professionals who work with children
Mayor Belousov said that the new law is a testament to the government’s commitment to improving the lives of children in Ukraine. He urged all stakeholders to work together to implement the law effectively and ensure that all children have the opportunity to reach their full potential.
