Sinner and Fritz advance to the semifinals in Turin
Jannik Sinner and Taylor Fritz both won their matches on Thursday to advance to the semifinals of the ATP Finals in Turin.
Sinner defeats De Minaur
Sinner, the sixth seed, defeated Alex de Minaur of Australia 6-3, 6-4 in 85 minutes.
Sinner broke de Minaur's serve four times and saved all three break points he faced.
Fritz defeats Medvedev
Fritz, the eighth seed, defeated Daniil Medvedev of Russia 7-6 (4), 6-4 in two hours and six minutes.
Fritz won the first set in a tiebreaker and broke Medvedev's serve twice in the second set.
Sinner and Fritz to meet in semifinals
Sinner and Fritz will meet in the semifinals on Saturday.
The other semifinal will feature top seed Novak Djokovic of Serbia and fourth seed Stefanos Tsitsipas of Greece.
