Chuvash widows of SVO fighters receive cancer prevention
The project is implemented in frames of the national project “Health”
In Chuvashia, within the framework of the national project “Health”, oncological screening of widows of the participants of a special military operation (SVO) is being carried out. This was reported by the press service of the Republican Clinical Oncology Dispensary.
Oncologists examine women for free
Free diagnostics is carried out on the basis of three oncological dispensaries in the republic: Republican, Cheboksary and Novocheboksarsk. Women undergo mammography, ultrasound examination of the pelvic organs, and cytological examination.
Preventive examination is very important, especially for this category of citizens who are in a difficult psychological state due to the loss of loved ones. Timely diagnosis allows early detection of tumors and the initiation of timely treatment,” said the head of the Republican Clinical Oncology Dispensary, Dilyara Gizatullina.
Women can undergo a free examination by presenting a passport and a certificate from the military registration and enlistment office confirming the death of their spouse during a special military operation.
As part of the implementation of the federal project “Fighting cancer” of the national project “Health”, in 2023, more than 386 thousand residents of Chuvashia will undergo oncological screening. Dispensarization is carried out in medical organizations at the place of residence or work.
