Harden Climbs to Second in NBA History for Made Three-Pointers

Seven-Time All-Star Passes Reggie Miller on the All-Time List

Philadelphia 76ers guard James Harden surpassed Reggie Miller on the NBA's all-time three-pointers list on Friday, moving into second place behind only Ray Allen.

Harden hit a three-pointer with 10:08 remaining in the third quarter of the 76ers' 118-112 win over the Indiana Pacers, giving him 2,561 career three-pointers.

Miller, who played 18 seasons in the NBA, finished his career with 2,560 three-pointers. Allen, who played 18 seasons, retired in 2014 with 2,973 three-pointers.

Harden's Rise to the Top

Harden has been one of the NBA's most prolific three-point shooters throughout his career.

He has led the league in three-pointers made three times, including in the 2018-19 season when he hit a record 378 three-pointers.

Harden is also a seven-time All-Star and has been named to the All-NBA Team nine times.

Miller's Legacy

Miller was one of the best shooters in NBA history.

He was a five-time All-Star and helped the Pacers reach the NBA Finals in 2000.

Miller is also known for his iconic “Miller Time” moments, when he would hit clutch three-pointers in big moments.

Allen's Record

Allen is widely considered to be the greatest three-point shooter in NBA history.

He was a 10-time All-Star and won two NBA championships with the Boston Celtics.

Allen's record of 2,973 career three-pointers is considered to be unbreakable.

Harden's Pursuit of Allen

Harden is now 412 three-pointers behind Allen for the all-time record.

If Harden continues to make three-pointers at his current pace, he could break Allen's record within the next two seasons.

It remains to be seen if Harden can catch Allen, but he is undoubtedly one of the greatest three-point shooters in NBA history.
