The head of the region announced the opening of 1,350 Christmas trees
The New Year will be celebrated in the Samara region on a grand scale. This was announced by the governor of the region, Dmitry Fedorishchev, at a briefing. “More than 1,350 Christmas trees will be opened in the region, 250 of which will be in Samra, plus more than 100 in the regional center – the region's largest New Year's tree,” the head of the region said.
Also, in Samara and Togliatti, skating rinks will open. In total, 350 festive events and performances will be held in the region's municipalities.
Fedorishchev stressed that on New Year's Eve, public transport will run until 02:00.
In addition, in the region, 45 ice towns and 12 interactive sites will open, where residents of the region will be able to have fun with the whole family.
The governor also spoke about other activities planned for the holidays. So, from December 24 to January 8, inclusive, the New Year's post office will work. 26,500 postcards will be sent from it.
