Boston Celtics Advance to 2-0 with Blowout Win Over Washington Wizards

Celtics Dominate From Start to Finish

The Boston Celtics continued their impressive start to the season with a convincing 122-102 victory over the Washington Wizards on Wednesday night. The Celtics, who improved to 2-0, were led by Jayson Tatum's 32 points. Jaylen Brown added 29 points, and Marcus Smart chipped in with 18 points and 10 assists.

The Celtics took control of the game early, jumping out to a 14-point lead in the first quarter. They extended their lead to 22 points by halftime and never looked back. The Wizards, who fell to 0-2, were led by Bradley Beal's 24 points.

The Celtics' defense was suffocating, holding the Wizards to just 38% shooting from the field. The Celtics also forced 16 turnovers, which they converted into 21 points.

With the win, the Celtics have now won six straight regular season games, dating back to last season. They will look to continue their winning ways on Friday night when they host the Charlotte Hornets.

Tatum Continues to Impress

Jayson Tatum has been one of the most impressive players in the NBA so far this season. The 24-year-old is averaging 34.0 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game.

Tatum's performance against the Wizards was his second straight 30-point game. He is now shooting 52.8% from the field and 40.0% from three-point range this season.

Tatum has emerged as the Celtics' clear-cut leader this season. He is the team's leading scorer and has also been a key contributor on the defensive end.

Brown and Smart Provide Support

Jaylen Brown and Marcus Smart have been excellent complementary pieces to Tatum this season. Brown is averaging 26.5 points per game, and Smart is averaging 14.0 points, 8.0 assists, and 6.0 rebounds per game.

Brown and Smart are both capable of creating their own shots, but they are also willing to defer to Tatum when necessary. This unselfishness has been a key factor in the Celtics' success this season.

The Celtics have a lot of talent on their roster, and they are starting to gel as a team. If they can continue to play with the same intensity and focus they showed against the Wizards, they will be a tough team to beat this season.
