Cleared the Day Before Pitt Game

Syracuse's Marlowe Wax exclaimed he had no fear as he prepared to return from injury for the Pitt game. Wax's recovery was expedited, allowing him to play the day after being cleared.

Cleared to Play

After missing the last three games with a lower-body injury, Wax was a full participant in practice on Wednesday and Thursday. He was then cleared to play on Friday, the day before the Pitt game.

“I was just excited to get back out there with my team,” Wax said. “I’ve been working hard to get back, and I’m just glad I’m able to play again.”

Wax is a key part of Syracuse’s defense, and his return is a big boost for the Orange. He is expected to start at safety against Pitt.

“Marlowe is a great player, and we’re excited to have him back,” said Syracuse coach Dino Babers. “He’s a leader on our defense, and he makes everyone around him better.”

No Fear in Return

Wax said he had no fear of re-injuring himself when he returned to the field. He said he has been working hard to get his body back to 100%, and he is confident that he is ready to play.

“I’m not worried about getting hurt again,” Wax said. “I’ve been working hard to get my body back to where it needs to be, and I’m confident that I’m ready to play.”

Wax’s return is a big boost for Syracuse, who is looking to snap a two-game losing streak. The Orange will host Pitt on Saturday at the Carrier Dome.
