Special Task Force (STF) of Bihar Arrested 5 Fraudsters from Madhubani

Bihar's Special Task Force (STF) arrested five fraudsters from Madhubani district on Wednesday in connection with a case of cheating and forgery. The arrested accused have been identified as Manish Kumar Jha, Akash Kumar Jha, Goutam Kumar Jha, Santosh Kumar Jha, and Jitendra Kumar Jha.

A team of STF conducted a raid in Basopatti village in Madhubani district and apprehended the accused. The police seized several incriminating documents, including fake identity cards, forged documents, and mobile phones, from their possession.

During the interrogation, the accused confessed to their involvement in duping several people on the pretext of providing them jobs and other favours. The accused used to forge documents and create fake websites to lure victims into their trap. They would then demand money from the victims in the name of registration fees, processing charges, and other expenses.

The STF is investigating the matter further to identify other members of the gang and theirModus Operandi. The police have also appealed to the public to be cautious of such fraudsters and verify the credentials of any organisation or individual before making any payments.
