#21 Utah Volleyball Set to Face New Big 12 Rivals Kansas & KSU After playing in the Pac-12 for 33 years, the Utah volleyball team is entering a new era as a member of the Big 12. Their schedule will feature some new and exciting matchups, including matches against Kansas and Kansas State. ## Kansas The Kansas Jayhawks are a perennial powerhouse in women's volleyball, having won 13 Big 12 championships and reaching the NCAA Tournament 30 times. They are led by All-American middle blocker Caroline Bien and outside hitter Ayah Elnady. * Kansas finished last season ranked No. 10 in the AVCA Coaches Poll. * The Jayhawks return eight starters from last year's team. * Kansas has a strong home-court advantage in Horejsi Family Athletics Center. ## Kansas State The Kansas State Wildcats are another strong team in the Big 12, having won the conference title in 2020. They are led by All-American outside hitter Brylee Rolle and middle blocker Kadye Fernholz. * Kansas State finished last season ranked No. 22 in the AVCA Coaches Poll. * The Wildcats return seven starters from last year's team. * Kansas State has a passionate fan base that fills Bramlage Coliseum on game nights. ## Matchup The Utah Utes will face Kansas on the road on October 12th and Kansas State at home on October 28th.
