The Denver Nuggets extended their winning streak to 10 games with a 120-111 victory over the Toronto Raptors on Monday night. Nikola Jokic led the way for the Nuggets with 35 points, 12 rebounds and 8 assists, while Jamal Murray added 24 points and Aaron Gordon chipped in 20.
The Nuggets took control of the game in the second quarter, outscoring the Raptors 36-23 to take a 61-49 lead at halftime. Jokic was dominant in the second quarter, scoring 12 points and grabbing 6 rebounds.
The Raptors fought back in the third quarter, cutting the lead to 91-86 heading into the fourth. However, the Nuggets pulled away in the fourth quarter, outscoring the Raptors 29-25 to secure the victory.
Pascal Siakam led the Raptors with 25 points, while Fred VanVleet added 22 points and O.G. Anunoby chipped in 17. The Raptors have now lost four of their last five games.
With the win, the Nuggets improve to 32-13 on the season, tied with the Memphis Grizzlies for the best record in the Western Conference. The Raptors fall to 24-23, seventh in the Eastern Conference.
The Nuggets will be back in action on Wednesday night when they host the Charlotte Hornets. The Raptors will be back in action on Thursday night when they visit the Indiana Pacers.
