A crash on I-90 in Chautauqua County has closed a portion of the thruway and caused major traffic delays.
The crash, which involved multiple vehicles, occurred at around 1:30 p.m. near Exit 60 in the town of Ripley.
According to State Police, several people were injured in the crash, but the extent of their injuries is not yet known.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
Traffic is being detoured off the thruway at Exit 59 in the town of Dunkirk and back on at Exit 61 in the town of Westfield.
Motorists should expect delays and are advised to avoid the area if possible.
