Rayo Vallecano Coach Perez Denies James Exit Talk Ahead of Las Palmas Clash
Perez Insists James Is “Fully Committed” to Rayo Vallecano
Rayo Vallecano coach Andoni Iraola has denied speculation linking star player James Rodriguez with a move away from the club.
The Colombian has been in impressive form for Rayo this season, scoring five goals and providing five assists in 21 La Liga appearances.
However, recent reports have suggested that James could be set to leave Vallecas in the summer, with several clubs reportedly interested in signing him.
James “Fully Committed” to Rayo
Speaking ahead of Rayo's clash with Las Palmas on Saturday, Iraola was asked about the speculation surrounding James' future.
Iraola insisted that James is “fully committed” to Rayo and that he has no plans to leave the club.
“James is a very important player for us,” Iraola said. “He's a great professional and he's always giving his all for the team.
“I have no doubt that he's fully committed to Rayo and that he wants to help us achieve our goals this season.”
James Key to Rayo's Success
James has been a key player for Rayo this season, helping the club to climb to 12th in the La Liga standings.
The Colombian has scored some important goals for Rayo, including a stunning free-kick in the club's 2-1 win over Real Madrid in October.
Iraola will be hoping that James can continue his good form against Las Palmas on Saturday.
