BetBoom entered the Dota Pro Circuit 2023 First Division

On February 12, BetBoom Team beat Nemiga Gaming 2:0 and reached the Dota Pro Circuit 2023 First Division. After the results of the second tour of the Dota Pro Circuit 2023 in Eastern Europe, Team Spirit, Team Liquid, BB Team, Natus Vincere, Darkside and Outsiders made it to the First Division. BetBoom Team successfully passed the closed qualifiers for the First Division, beating PuckChamp 2:1 in the grand final.

The format of the Dota Pro Circuit

The Dota Pro Circuit 2023 runs from January to August. The tournament format has changed significantly. The teams are divided into three levels. In each of them, they play matches in a round-robin format. The winners are the teams with the most wins. Teams can still earn points that are awarded based on their final placement. According to the results of the first tour, the best six teams qualify to the second tour of the higher division, and the two worst teams go to the lower division.
Six teams participate in each of the three divisions. The top three teams from the First Division qualify to the majors. The winners of the major competitions receive an invitation to The International 2023. Historically, Dota Pro Circuit is a qualifying tournament for The International, so the upcoming changes are unlikely to affect the way the main event of the season is played.
