Russian tennis player Dmitry Popko lost in the first round of qualification for the Challenger tournament in Perugia (Italy). In a meeting that lasted 2 hours and 27 minutes, the 24-year-old Russian lost to Italian Lorenzo Giustino with a score of 7:6 (7:5), 4:6, 4:6. Popko made seven aces, committed four double faults and won five out of thirteen break points. Giustino hit four aces, did not make a single mistake in serving and won five out of twelve break points. In the second round of qualification, Giustino will play with the winner of the match between Australian Akira Santillan and French Manuel Guinard.
