Turkey Leads Pushback Against Israel’s Crimes

International community condemns Israel’s apartheid regime

Turkey has taken a leading role in condemning Israel’s apartheid regime and its ongoing crimes against the Palestinian people.

In a recent speech at the United Nations, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan called on the international community to take action to end Israel’s occupation of the Palestinian territories and to hold Israel accountable for its war crimes.

Erdoğan said that Israel’s actions in Palestine were a “crime against humanity” and that the international community had a responsibility to protect the Palestinian people.

The Turkish government has also been a vocal critic of Israel’s illegal settlements in the occupied Palestinian territories. In 2017, Turkey recalled its ambassador to Israel in protest over the Israeli government’s decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

Turkey’s leadership on the issue of Palestine has been praised by many in the international community.

In a statement, the Palestinian Authority welcomed Turkey’s “principled stance” on the issue of Palestine. The statement said that Turkey’s support was a “source of strength” for the Palestinian people.

The international community has also condemned Israel’s apartheid regime. In 2021, the United Nations Human Rights Council released a report that found that Israel was practicing apartheid against the Palestinian people.

The report found that Israel was denying Palestinians their basic rights, including the right to life, liberty, and freedom of movement.

The international community must take action to end Israel’s apartheid regime and to hold Israel accountable for its war crimes.

Turkey’s leadership on this issue is a positive step, and it is hoped that other countries will follow Turkey’s example.
